Wanganui Education Board.
Tho Board resumed yesterday, Messrs Sau-sou (in the chair;, Ross, Baker, Fry, Piraui, Lethbridge, Robbius Subsequently Mr Carson took the chair. It was decided to leave Miss MeDouough at Hawera and transfer Mr Rohsou to Maxwell from Foxton instead of Hawera. Scholarships — • Master Patterson, scholarship holder, was allowed to attend the Christchurch High School, — Mr Maunder, Okaiawa, wrote declining to tako up the i"2O scholarship, and it was decided to offer it to Mabel Gilby, of Wanganui. Maugawcka — Fencing of 12 chains authorised. Sansou — Carpenter to do repairs when in locality, Apiti— Transfer of section from G. Marsh to McFadden approved. Rangiwahia —Fencing authorised to the extent of jf 12. Awahou — Fencing authorised as applied for. Tenders — Birmingham residence, W. Banks (accepted), jfclo'J ss; Feildiug school, Nicholson and Grace (accepted), £180. Mr Shacklock, of Dunedin, waited on the Board, and gave some valuable information in reference to ranges, smoky chimneys, &c, for which he received a vote of thauks. Buunythorpe — From Public Works Department, with reference to the hole in front of the Bunnythorpe school.
