A Perilous Leap.

o (Per Press Association). Auckland, January 6. A middle aged man named Charles Waterhouso jumped from an upstairs window at the Royal Hotel, Hamilton, between five six o'clock this morning and sustained a compound fracture of the ankle. He had been drinking and reading " Hunted Down," one of the psnny dreadful series, and evidently fancied he was the hero of the story. He was removed to the Waikato Hospital.
