The Colonial mails of Slst October arrived in London on lst inst. -one day early. Capt. Burton, who bas been in charge of the local corps of the Army for the last month will farewell at the barracks to-morrow. At night the new officers will be announced. No doubt good crowds will be present. Fresh fruit at Cornish Bros.' to day. A reward is offered for the returu of a lost gold cross. Bargains in clothing, shirts, sox, ties, hats, &c. at Te Aro House to night. A Christmas advertisement from Mr Woollams, chemist, will appear in our I Monday's issue. Gentlemen requiring suits made to measure before tho Holiday are recom. mended to place their orders with John Cobhf. at once. Prices range from 55s ; good iit guaranteed. No deposit required witb order, and customers are not expected to take auy garment which is not entirely satisfactory.
