Popular Concert.

Last night the large room of the Young Men and Boys' Club at Glasgow Bouse was well filled to listen to the first concert given by the Club in aid of the fund?. Programme : Violin solo by Miss Jessie Holmes, with piano accompaniment by Mr Moore. Song, "Caller Hernn," by Miss Giesen. Song by Mr Bartholomew, " Down by the Deep, Sad Sea." Duet, being a selection ot popular airs on the tin whistle and piino, by Messrs Isaacs and Keade. Song, " The Liuk Divine," with violin obligato, by Miss Hamilton. Song, " Listening," by Mrs Dixon. Violin solo by Miss Ross, accompanied by Mr Moore. Song, " I canna buckle to," by Mrs J. C. Hill. Viohn duet, by Mr Staff m and Miss Mackenzie. Vocal duet, "A Voice from the Waves," by Mrs Reader and Mrs James. Song by Mr J. Kartholomew, "The Grand Old British Flag." Kong by Mr Eade, " The British Lion." Song, "Ye Banks and Braes," by Mrs J. C. Hill, The accompaniments were played by Mrs Dixon, Mr Moore, and Misses Giesen, Greenwood, Hamilton and Hill. Applause wa3 frequent and prolonged, but the rule against encores, introduced by the Committee, forbade repetitions. The Chairman, Mr Greenwood, intimated (hat it was intended to have a concert once a fortnight if possible. The merit of the entertainment and the low price of admission, 6d and 3d, should ensure an increasing attendance to all who wish well to the Young Men and Boys' Club.
