(Pet Press Association.) Blenheim, October 26. A special visit was made by the directors to the Wakamarina Gorge Mine on Saturday. The bottom bas not yet been reached, but a fair amount of gold is being obtained, and the wash dirt is improving as the sinking goes on. Greym uth, Oct. 26. The Paparoa range is swarming with men out prospecting for reefs, while some are busy testing the reefs already taken np. Rich quartz specimens are being brought into town daily. Many experienced miners continue to leave the coast for the Auckland mines. Reefton, Oct 26. At a meeting of shareholders of the Big River Company, held last Tuesday, it was decided to dispose of the property to the Franco New Zealand syndicate on the terms offered. Invebcargiix, Oct. 29. Returns from the Morning Star reef, at Preservation Inlet, prow higher as the work progresses. The yield received today for the month's crushing from 810 tons of stone was 4980z of gold valued at £2050. For under a year's work, £11,600 sterling has been won.
