Consequent on a bad gallop to-day, Newhaven has lost pride of position in tbe Derby, the quotations for which 7 to 2 is on offer about him. Cook's colt, The Officer, which won the Caulfield Guineas, is now first favorite for the Victorian Blue Ribbon and the best price against him is o to 1.
