Cricket News.
A match was played at Cheltenham on Saturday 17th, between a picked eleven v all comers. The following are the results:— lst innings 46; Niccols, not out, 10. All Comers, Ist innings 54 ; F. Barrow 12, K. Eurrell 10, and Smith not out 10. For the XI Calligan took 5 wickets at a cost of 2 runs per wicket, and for All Comers J. Barrow disposed of 6 at an average of 28. It was decided to invite the Beaconsfield Clnb to play a match on Saturday next. A match was played at Colyton on Saturday between teams representing the Colyton II and employes of Messrs Holland and Nissen's Kiwitea mill. Colyton made 36 runs in their first innings and 19 in their second, wfeile the sawmill team made 35 runs in their first innings and 21 for the loss of six wickets in their second, thus winning by four wickets.
