The Heat Wave in Australia.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, October 18. It was intensely hot in the City today the thermometer registering 92£deg. in the shade. There is a cool southerly breeze to-night and rain is threatening. In the Southern and Western districts there has been a pleasant change, the weather being cool, while light rains, which have extended also to the interior, have if alien. October 14. Steady rain has been falling all day and still continues.
