The only starters. Won with the greatest of ease. Time, 51 l-ssec. Dividend, £1 18s. Park Stakes, 1£ miles— The Shrew 1, Golden Plover 2, Defiance 3. Won by half a length after a punishing finish. Time, 2min 15 3 ssec. Dividend, ±4 3s. Handicap Hurdles, 2 miles — Kapua 1, Tally-ho 2, T Rose 3. Eapua led from start to finish. Time, 4min 2 l-ssec. Dividend, £2 9s. Railway Handicap, 6 furlongs — Armilia 1, Martyrdom 3, Forest Rose 3. Won comfortably. Time, lmin 17 4-ssec. Dividond, £2 11s. Ahuriri Handicap, once round — Popgun 1, First Blood 2, Waiau 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 1 l-ssec. Dividend, £4 11s.
