The Czar's Visit to France.
PARIS IN RAPTURES. A SUPERB NAVAL SPECTACLE. | Per Press Association. | Paris, Oct. 5. The Czar has arrived at Cherbourg. It is estimated that there are three million visitors in Paris. October 6. The meeting of the French and English squadrons in mid-channel was a superb spectacle, and the splendid evolutions were much admired. The English warships fired a salute of 21 guns, and the French one of 100 guns. On his arrival at Cherbourg the Czar received a great ovation. President Faurc and the President of of both branches of the Legiplature welcomed him, and he noticeably retained the hand of the former for some time. The Czar then mode an inspection of the French fleet, and expressed hia admiration at its completeness and apparent efficiency. At the banquet President Faure, in proposing the health of the Royal gnest, said that the Czar wonld find that the heart of France beat at Paris. The Vy.ai\ in reply, 5/u<3 he hi))y shared die sentiments of a friendly nation, and was much touched by the sympathy and cordiality extended in drinking to his host, the Czar and President touched glasses while the band played the Marseillaise. London, Oct. 5. The Czar thanked the Queen and the British people for the perfect hospitality extended to him and hh party.
