The property adjoins Try Fluke, and a sum of £20,000 is guaranteed for the development of it. An engineer leaves in a fortnight to inspect. The capital comes from a quarter not hitherto interested in New Zea land. The Hon. W. A. Long, chairman of the Australian Joint Stock Bank is leaving for London to approach English de positors with a view of securing a re ductiou in the rate of interest on deposits as promised under the rcconstructioc scheme.
