The defendants were farmers, Alfred Tapper and his servant, John Fraser, who worked three horses suffering from sore shoulders, Mr Poynton, after inspect^ ag the animals, said it was the most disgusting case of cruelty he had ever seen, and nned Tapper £20 and Fraaer £5.
