Per Press Association.) [ Capetown, Oct. 3. The ravages of the rinderpest will cause a rise in the price of meat, and supplies from Australia and here will be necessary to prevent a famine. There is a strong agitation going on to have the duty on meat abolished. Pretoria, Oct. 4. Rinderpest has made its appearance at Vryburg, where several herds have been destroved.
