TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — The rainfall for the past mooth was 2-82 inches. In September, 1895, it was 349 inches. Bain was registered on 19 days, and the heaviest fall in one day was 0-93, on the 6th. There was one frosty night, viz. on the 14th. The rnaximnm temperature was 64, on the 12th, and the minimum 32, on the 16th. The mean temperature at 9.30 a.m. waa 52-00, the mean max. 60-40, and the mean mm. 41*93. The corresponding: means for September, 1895, were 50*13, 5840, and 3960.— 1 am, &c., SAML. GoODBEHEBE.
