This amount added to the 2£ millions to be raised for the Coolgardie water supply and the amount required to purchase the Great Southern Railway makes a total of upwards of seven millions which the Government propose to raise by loan. The bricklayers are demanding 12s ocr day and a strike is anticipated. Melbourne, Sept 28. A fire at Moore and Scott's Cycle Agency destroyed 150 Raleigh machines and a large quantity of cycling stock. i
