Sad Death of a Hero.
o (Per Press Association) Sydney, Sept. 23. A recent Londan cable announces the leath by drowning of Lieut. Warren, who at one time held a commission in 9.M.5. Curacoa, and was well known >n the Australian station. Details to land show that the warship Hermione, ;o which Lieutenant Warren was atached, was steaming along the Scotish coast when Engineer Good jumped tverboard. Lieut. Warren, with great [allantry, sprang into the water to escne him. The vessel was put about mmediately, and a thorough search ras made, but without avai), neither of be men being seen after.
