An Objectionable Practice.
Cheese makers Lave protested for years against this ruinous practice. Still it continues, greatly to the hurt of every patron in the factory where it is prac» tised. The Peterborough (Canada) Cheese Board of Trade lately had the subject up for discussion and not a cheese maker in attendance but condemned the practice. The following resolution was passed by the Board: — That the objectionable practice adopted by some of the patrons of carrying home whey in the milk cans from the factories is detrimental io. the quality, and gener ally lowers the standard and character of cheese in the country ; that this Board strongly condemns this system, and respectfully recommends that any factory allowing whey to be so returned in the milk cans, said factory shall ba marked by the iiguro of a star on the blackboard of the Association for the benefit of the buyers at sates. --Americas paper.
