The Soudan Campaign.
Q „ (Per Press Association.) Caiho, Sept. 24. At the sight of the troops the Dervishes abandoned their camp aud arc being pursued by tho cavalry and punboafcs. Six. guns, large quantities of crrain and war material were captured. Several leading Emirs yielded and it is thought tho Dervishes are likely to evacuate. The natives left Zowarat at two in the uioiniog, aud the place was occupied by cavalry . Five hours later tho scrvises of the infantry were not required. Gunboats shelled a force oi' 5000 Dervishes, who were preventing a seizure of grain. A few of the Isagarras, who refused to surrender were killed. The main body, however, is fleeiug iuto tho desert, and in the desire to iffoct their escape many dropped their children in the sand and left them to their fate. The fire from the gunboats was very true, consequently the Dervishes lost heavily. The Bisuara Arabs left early in the morning, but Colonel Burn Murdock, who is in command of the forces, overtook a section iv the desert, and caused gveat havoc in their ranks, besides aecuring 500 prisoners.
