From the published reports of the Post and Telegraph Department for the years 1894 and 1895 we find the following interesting comparative results :— Money orders issued— Feilding, increase 14 per cent. ; Palmerston North, decrease, 4 per cent. Money orders paid -Feilding, increase, 25 per cent. ; Palmeratou, increase, 1 per cent. Savings Bank deposits— Feilding, increase, £4214 ; Palmers ton, increase, JE'329B. Savings Bank withdrawals— Feildiug, decrease, ; Palmerston, increase, £148?.
