| LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (Per Presg Asgoci&tion.) Wellington, Sept. 16. ', The Council met at 2.30 p.m. ! The Public Petitions Committee rej ported that it was of opinion that the I question of Sir Walter Buller being heard j at the Bar of the Council should be de- ■ cided by the whole Council. The Hon. Mr Bolt gave notice to move that Sir Walter Bailer should be heard at the Bar. The Lake Forsyth Lands Vesting Bill, the Photographic Copyright Bill and the Greytown Trustees Empowering Bill passed their final stages. The second reading of the Crown Suits Act Extension Bill was moved by the Hob. Mr Taiaroa, and rejected by 81 to 9. The Loan Bill passed through Commit' tee, and its final stages without amendment and without discussion. Further minor arrangements were made in Committee in the Government Advances to Settlers Act Amendment Bill, and the measure reported. The Council adjourned at 4.5 p.m.
