True disciples of the rod and gun will learn with regret that Mr H. L. Sherwill, who has ao long and so ably filled the position of secretary for the local branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, has, owing to pressure of other work, resigned. No successor to Mr Sherwill has yet been appointed, therefore we would suggest that at an early date a meeting be held of those interested, and some competent gentleman selected who, from his knowledge of the district and other necessary qualifications, would be willing to undertake this " labor 7 of love."
