AUSTRALIAN CABLES.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, September 9. Sailed — Waihora and Hawke's Bay lor Auckland. This Day. The new steamer Chindera, went ashore in the Tweed river and is now breaking up. Information has been received that the French New Hebrides Company have despatched two steamers to Havre to take up the Company's trade betweGn New Hebrides and New Caledonia. Mr Charles O Hara Smith, the well known New Zealand auditor, who arrived recently on a trip for the benefit of his health, died at Bathurst this morning.
