It is probable the Feilding Golf Club will play a match with the Palmerston Club, on the latter's links, on Saturday next. The Marton Jockey Club have decided to engage Mr P. J. Murtagh's starting machine for use at the spring meeting on September 9th and 10th. A meeting of members of the Colyton Football Club will be held in the Colyton Hotel at seven o'clock to-morrow evening. In addition to the tenders for inland mail services already advertised, tenders will be received for service between Feilding and Fowlers twice daily. A report has been circulated by a contemporary that Mr Bagnall's meeting on Friday evening last was very disorderly. Mr J. H. Stevens, chairman of the committee, made ihe presentation, which con sisted of five handsomely bound volumes of tlie illustrated biography of great artists, in a few well chosen remarks, expressing the regret they felt at Mr Judkins' departure, and wishing him every success and happiness in his new sphere. Mr Judkins thanked them , heartily for the gift, which he would ap • predate very much. The Riverdale Factory are getting lld per lb for their butter and are paying suppliers 4d per gallon for milk. — ' The Pembroke Road Co operative Butter Factory is a very small concern, their 1 whole buildings and plant only cost : about £500.
