Apiti Notes.
The members of the Chnrch of England here are awakinj? to the fact that it is time something was done in the way of holding services. Mr J.Johnson has kindly donated half an acre of land for building purposes; and it has been decided to give a concert on Friday, August 15th, to raise funds for the purchase of another half acre. Osvinp to the splendid weather we | have been having* the stock in this district are in a much better condition than they have been in previous -winters, and so far very few losses have been experienced It is likely that the Dairy Factory will resume operations this year earlier than usual. The township of Apiti has been rapidly increasing in si?e of late and there are several buildings in course of erection. Mr A. Cartwright, our popular boardinghouse keeper, is having a large two storied addition made to his present house. This is the first two storied building in Apiti and will be a great iinprovemeut. We wish Mr Cartwright every success in his enterprise.
