Pemberton Notes.

[from our own correspondent.] Winter has set in up here at last when one expects to find the weather improving. Our third sno-wstorm started on Friday night but fortunately it is thawing very quickly. This will help to make our already bad roads worse that are almost impassable. To day is terribly cold. It does not kuow whether to suow or rain but is blowing a rather cold wind. The young lambs will find this kind of weather very trying. The Rangiwahia Sports Committee have come out this year with a credit balance of £10 which is to be devoted to fencing. Considering the size of the place the sports do very well as the gross takings amounted to £122 16s 6d. One wonders where all the money comes from.
