PRIVATE SAYWELL, FEILDING, * WINS THE GOLD MEDAL. PhIVATE RICHARDS THE SILVER MEDAL. (Per Press Association) Wellington, July 28. The marksmen's medals, given by the Government for competition by volunteers, have been awarded as follows :— Gold medal for best shot in the North ißland: Private Saywell, Mancheater Rifles, 96 points ; South Island l : CoLSergt. Jones, Kumara Rifles, 105, gold ud silver medals. Second best ■hot in the North Island— Private Richards, Manchester Rifles, 94. South Island—Private Sountag, Dnnedin City Guards, 103. Silver Medate— Auckland, C. P. O. Spinley, Ponsonby Navals, 90 ; Wellington— Sergeant Moosman, Wancanni Rifles, 93; Nelson— Sergeant Smith, Kumara Rifles, 100 ; Canterbury — Ganner Burford, Timaru Navals, 89 ; North Otago— Sergt.-Major White, No, 1 Battery, 100; South Otago— Private Woolett, Dunedin Navals, 91 ; Southland—Sergeant McMatb, Riversdale Rifles, 84. _
