The report of the Committee of the Manawatu Racing Club shows the total amount spent in improvements since the date of the new lease is £2659. Of this amount £1800 has been written off for depreciation. It is considered that the appointments are now as complete as possible, and no further outlay is anticipated. The balance-sheet shows the receipts to have been £3661 13s 7d. The principal item of expenditure was £1965 in stakes.
