The Wool Market.

{ Per Press Association. I London, July 21. The wool sales closed very firm. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company, Ltd., have received the following report from their London office by the last 'Frisco mail : — Little has been doing in our market since the close of the public sales. Un usually heavy withdrawals during the series have occasioned a good deal of enquiry for lots protected at auction. Owing, however, to the reluctance both of holders to accept and of buyers to advance upon the rates established during the sales, comparatively little business has been done. Furthermore, activity in the Home manufacturing centres is for tbe moment interrupted by the occurrence of the Whitsuntide holidays. Advices from the Contiaent, while indicating a quiet tone in France, continue to report a steady trade in Germany.
