Dr Jameson's Raid.
RHODES 1 RESPONSIBILITY. (Per Press Association.) Capetown, July 20. The majority report of the Committee of the Cape Assembly rinds that Rhodes directed and controlled Jameson's raid, and his conduct was not consistent with the Premier's duty. Even it Jameson was primarily answerable, Rhodes was responsible for the final step. His cheque covered the outlay and cleared the Chartered Company's advances. The minority sent in a seperate report, holding that Rhodes was unaware of Jameson's intention, and not liable personally for the letters of the Chartered Company's officials to Jameson.
