(Per Press Association.) London, July 15. At the wool auctions there was keen competition at higher prices. The present series closes on Tuesday next. The following cable advice has been received by the N.Z.L. and M.A. Company : — Since the opening of the sales, greasy, washed and scoured merino superior, medium and inferior, fine washed and scoured, medium washed and scoured, coarse washed and scoured crossbred, greasy merino lambs superior, medium and inferior are £d per lb lower. Fine and medium greasy crossbreds are par at £d per lb higher. Other descriptions unchanged. Competition by both Home and foreign bnyers is fairly active. Attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is normal. The total quantity catalogued to date is 15,000 bales. The total quantity withdrawn to date is 13,000 bales.
