Polled Angus Stock.

On Tuesday last Mr L. Holden, of Makino, sent away two pure-bred Polled Angus bulls, purchased from him by Messrs Hearn and Kennedy, of Waverley. The animals, which are both two years old, were bred by Mr Holden, and are stock of the sire "Raven," purchased from Messrs Morton and Mains, of Southland ; Raven being the progeny of imported cattle. One of the bulls is out of a cow which has secured seven champion prizes, and the other is out of a full sister to, and has only been beaten by, the champion. Both these cows wore purchased by Mr Holdeu from Mr Oir, of Clyde, Napier. The animals purchased by Messrs Hearn and Kennedy are fine specimens of this class of stock, and Mr Holden should stand in the first rank amongst breeders of purebred stock in the colony at no distant date. We understand it is Mr Holden 's intention to go in for Polled Angus cattle exclusively and he has already a fine herd.
