AUSTRALIAN CABLES.

(Per Press Associatiou). Brisbane, July 14. The barque Normals, bound from Sydney to Mauritius, has been wrecked in Torres Strait. The mate and four of the crew reached Thursday Island. The remainder are said to be at Murray Island. The Governor today, presented the Queensland riflo team (which visited New Zealand in March, and won the Federal Match) with the cup, which the Hon. Mr Seddon gave as the prize in the competition. Sydney, July 15. A diver working at the wreck of the Catterthun, put up an unexpected record dive. A heavy ground surge carried him off the sunken vessel, and landed him on the ocean bed, 30 fathoms deep. He was hauled up by those on the punt, none the worse for his experience.
