AUSTRALIANS v. HAMPSHIRE.
(Per Press Association.) London July 7. The Australians made 412 in their first innings— Giffen 130, Graham 66, Trumble 28. Hampshire were all out at the second trial for 203, the Australians winning by an innings and 125 runs. The principal scorers for the County were— Wynyard 68, Webb 45, Ward 23.
I Per Press Association) ' Cheistchurch, July 8. The secretary of the cricket council has received a cable that the Australians are willing to play five matches in New Zealand on terms which will probably be satisfactory to the council.
