Australian Sheep Sales.

(Per Press Association.) Sydney, July 8. The mad excitement of yesterday | caused several to buy in haste and repent at leisure. A number of animals purchased at 19gs, were put np again and failed to bring even 2gs. To-day saw the completion of the Merino catalogue. The morning's work was confined to flock rams, which sold strongly. In the afternoon a large number of animals from New South Wales flocks were j offered. The top price was five hundred guineas for a pure Vermont ram, the property of Mr S. McCaughey, purchased by Mr Horscfall, of Victoria. Fourteen other Vermont rams from the same stock averaged £86 ss, and ewes 20£ guineas.
