Stock Market.
JOHNSONVILLE, July 1. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report : — The usual number of fat cattle came forward. A number were only Rood stores, the rest good beef. Prices were without quotable change, The sheep pens were well filled with usefal sheep. Prices were firm and all fold at sarisfactory rates. Some of the pigs advertised did not come forward owing to floods. About sixty made up the sale and sold at better values. We quote :— Cattle— Bullocks, £6 5s to £7 7s 6d ; cows, £4 7s 6d to £5 10s, equal to 16s per lOOlbs. Sheep— Wethers, 13s to 13s 9d ; ewes, 8s 4d to 10s 3d ; lambs, 7s 2d. Pigs— Sows, 25s to 26s ; porkers, Ids to 17s ; others, 10s to 12s; small pigs, 5s 6d. Competition was keen at yesterday's Wanganui stock sale, and prices for best qualities of sheep were fully maintained.
