Alleged Attempt at Blackmail.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. 4mong the civil cases in the S.M. Court today was Mrs Felton v. the Hon. Mr Seddon and the Hon Mr Ward. The plaintiff is the owner of a paper named Daybreak which, she alleged, she agreed with the defendants to conduct as a Government paper on condition she received sufficient Government advertisements. Mr Jellicoe appeared for Mrs Felton. Mr Gully, for defendants, characterised the whole thing as a deliberate attempt at blackmail. The case was dismissed.
