The Unemployed in Christchurch.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, This Day. A large number of unemployed met this morning, when the urgent want of employment was pointed out, also that numerous families were without food. It was stated that several men present had had no breakfast, and had no prospect of obtaining a meal during the day. It was resolved to wait on the Charitable Aid Board to ask for immediate relief.
