Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — On Tuesday, at Pabiatua, our yards were well filled with sbeep. Bidding was brisk throughout and the bulk disposed of at full rates. Cattle in short supply. The offers for young stock were a shade below tbat ruling last 1 sale and declined by vendors. Other ! sorts without alteration. Fat wethers, 10s 6d ; forward do., 9s 6d ; storea, 9s ld ; fat ewes, 8s 4d ; well-grown lambs, 6s 9d ; others, 4s to 4s 6d ; empty ewes, 7s 6d ; cull do., 4s 6d ; ewes in lamb, 8s 6d. Yesterday a moderate number of sheep only came forward, several lots being prevented by the wet weather prevailing. For all sound sheep there was an unsatisfied demand, good breeding ewes and lambs being mostly in request. The entry of cattle was very limited. Fat wethers, 10s 8d ; stores, 8s 4d to 8s lOd , good breeding ewes, 2, i 4 and 6 tooth, 9s 9d ; others, same ages, !7s 7d ; f.m. ewes, 7s ; culls, 4s 3d ; empty ewes, 6s to 7s 3d. Cattle —Small weaners, 15s 6d ; fat cows £3 17s to £4l 10s. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, June 24. There were moderate entries and a fair attendance at the Addington markets today. Fat Cattle- Steers brought L5 5s to L7 7s 6d ; heifers, L 4 12s 6d to L 5 12s 6d cows, L 3 10s to L7 7s 6d. Dairy Cows— The sale was a fairly good one for all sound young milkers, which brought from L6 to L9 ; otdera selling at from L3 to L5. Store Cattle — This class was but poorly represented, and business done at auction was very small. Fat Sheep— Prime heavy weight freezers and wethers, 15s to 18s 6d ; medium freezing wethers and mixed sexes, 13s 9d to 16s ; maiden ewes, 12s to 14s ; butchers heavy weight ewes, lis to 13s 6d ; medium do 8s 6d to 10a 8d ; inferior do. 6a to 8s ; merino wethers 9s to lis 3d ; do ewes, 4s 9d to 6s lld. Fat Lambs — A small entry of fat lambs met with good demand, those fit for freezing bringing from 10s to 12s Bd, and otbers from 8s to 9s 6d. Store Sheep— Good crossbred wethers made from 22a to 13s 9d ; mixed sexes, 9a 6d to 10s sd ; good lambs from 8a to 8s 6d ; backward sorts from 5s lOd to 6s 6d : shorn lambs, 3s 3d to 4s ld. Pigs— Baconers and porkers were well represented and met good Bale at about 3£d per pound, as much as 3_d being paid for extra well fed lives. Stores also were in good request. -=■
