The Manawatu Railway Accident.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, June 24. The engine which fell on to the beach is considerably damaged. To get it up again a line will probably be laid along the old truck road used in the construeing of the railway or else a temporary tramway on an incline. Three cars filled with cattle were derailed and some of the animals were so knocked about that they had to be slaughtered at Johnsonyille.
