The Wellington Shooting Case.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, June 10. At the trial of Mrs Locher for at* tempted murder, Dr Mackenzie said he bad been consulted by accused in July, 1891, for astigmatism, which was liable to affect the mind, causing epilepsy and various disturbances. The jury were out a little over two hours in the Locher case, and returned a verdict of acquittal on the gxouud of insanity. The Judge ordered Mrs Locher to be kept in strict custody until the pleasure of the Colonial Secretary was known.
