Rich Gold Discovery.

(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, This Day. A private Geological Surveyor has re. ported to a syndicate for which he is acting the discovery of immense deposits of quartz near Maryville. They are similar to and rival the famous Mount Morgan formation. A large dyke of over 500 feet wide is said to carry payable gold all over. Dish prospects were made over a large area, and gave free payable gold averaging from half to one oz to the ton. A ton of stone treated at Bulla yielded loz and lOdwts. There are millions of tons of stone and the Government geologist has left on a visit of inspection and will report to the Government.
