A Big Tram Scheme for Wellingto n.
— o [Per Press Association. Wellington, This Day. The proposal of the syndicate interested in electric tramways is to lay double lines along a number of streets, including some not now served by the trams, and extend the present system to Island Bay and Karori. It is ready to spend £100,---000 on the work, which if carried out will serve the thickly populated parts of the city not now reached by tram cars.
