* (Per Press Association.) London, May 29. New Zealand mutton, first quality, 3^l ; second, 2_d. Hemp is unchanged. The English wheat market is quiet and steady ; the Continental is changing a little for the worse ; and American is declining and weak. Sugar is dull. Best German beet lis 3d, Java 13s Gd. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, 46s 6d. The Bradford wool market is lifeless. Silver is quoted at 2s 7 3-16 th d. Messrs Levin and Co. have received from their agents, Messrs Dalgety and Co., the following cable, dated London, May 28th : The Londou Wool Importers' Committee have decided that for the 4th series of sales the quantity of new arrivals to be included is limited to 300,000 in place of 375,000 as originally arranged. No alteration is made for the fifth series of sales. The sixth and last series of the year has been fixed to open on November 24tb, the list of arrivals for this series closing on November 20th.
