Important to Farmers.
The Secretary for Agriculture in the* United States, says: — ''Each season teaches anew the imperatiyeriieceauty of more and more scientifib knowlie^ge for those who are to plongh and plant profitably. The markets of Jtbe world will finally be ;.inya(fl^. : capj^|^;^juiid'' ; . held by those who . produce cereals, meats, vegetables, and fruit at the least cost, and can therefore most cheaply sell. Competition is fiercer every year. American inventions, improved implements, and machinery for teving labor > on the farm, and for saving « the fruits of that labor, are"', exported to Africa, Europe, and South and ' Central America. Thus our own recipes and contrivances for cheap produce are used abroad to strengthen the abilities of foreign farmers, to contend with our own in foreign markets. Information direct from Russia, Argentine, and Africa, tells of larger sales of agricultural implements and machinery in each country every year. .
