O'Brien, section 62, Bloak VIII, Mangahao; M.Mackenzie to D. F. Cameron, section 26, Block VI, Kopuaranga ; J. Weadick to P. O'Brien, section 13, Block, IV, Tararua ; A. Merrie to E. Wenham, section 92 Block I, Maknri ; R Hart to A. Hart, section 33, Block XIV, Pohangina; C. Parker to J. E. Flood, section 59, Block XI, Onga ; J. G. Chambers to to J. P. Drysdale, section 24, Block X, Kaituna ; M. Connor to Connor Bros., Hecfcion 31, Block VI. Waipakura ; J. G. Williams to W. Reid, section 14, Block VIII, Apiti ; H. Mclntyre to self and brother, rection 32, Block XV, Apiti, subject to certain conditions. Title refused— J. D. Piper, sections 7 and- 24, Block V. Makuri. Titles granted— T. and T. R. Smith, sections 8 and 2, Blocks 11, and 111, do ; C. E. Armstrong and R. W. Holmes section 75, Block IX, do. Mr D. M. Luckie waited on the Board in reference to the conversion by Mr Joseph Red of a lease of small grazing run, and asked that the conversion should be dated back a year to enable a mortgage to be effected. — . On Mr Pirani's motion it was decided to grant the concession desired, if the Commissioner ascertained that could be done. Mr Greville waited on the Board in reference to the transfer of section 212. Block XU, Mangaone, from Arthur Darling to W. Wolff — Transfer approved, subject to declaration being made. Mr D. Sullivan waited on the Board and asked for a refund on bis deposit on section 9, Block VI, Tiriraukawa, as he wished to withdraw from the selection. — This matter had been held over as it was thought Mr Sullivan had abetted the making of a false declaration for T. Glynn at last ballot,— lt was decided to allow the refund. Mr C. J. Morphetfc waited on the Board in reference to section 9 Block XIII, Mangahao, and explained that he had sold his interest to some one who had again sold to N. M. Townsend, the present occupier, but without the consent of the Board, and some £90 worth of improvements had been effected.—lt was decided to forfeit the section and refund the value of the improvements. The transfer of sections 17 and 18, Apiti, was granted from John Buckman to John Johnson. The transfer from Ambrose Rash to George Rowme, of section 8, Tiriraukawa, was refused. JRi miner and Craven was granted a yearly lease at £2 10s of one acre near the sawmill, Upper Pohangina. The Board obtained the opinion of the Crown law officers that the cost of dummy ism inquiries cannot be deducted from the value of improvements effected on forfeited section, but only the expense of taking possession of the land and offering it for sale.
