Stock Market.

Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — At Pabiatua on the 28th the rough weather prevented a good deal of stock advertised from coming forward. We had good entries of sheep however, very few cattle coming to hand. Sheep sold freely, wethers and sound mouthed ewes in lamb being most in demand. We cleared the lot under the hammer with the exception of two pens of young ewes for which more was asked than buyers were disposed to give. The few cattle entered sold freely at recent market rates. At Palmerston to-day we had moderate entries. Sheep generally maintained last week's improvement in prices, and we cleared the line with the exception of one pen of wethers. Young cattle were freely competed for, and we sold every pen under the hammer at quotations : Pahiatua. — Sheep— 2-tooth wethers, 5s 6d to 7s 2d ; 2-tooth Lincoln ewes, in lamb, 7s lOd ; others, 5s 6d ; 4- tooth ewes, in lamb (small), 5s 9d ; 6-tooth do, 5s lid ; full mouth do., 5s Id to 6s.
