The Coal Crisis.

O (Per Press Association.) Newcastle, April 28. Excepting the Seapit and Greta miners nil ofthe large collieries ceased work today. Those still working are chiefly suiiill ones, and worked by non-unionists. Up to the present everything connected with the strike has passed off quietly. Men in Sneddon's two collieries have joined the strikers. Greta has also given notice. These pits were worked by nonunion labour but the men were induced to join the ranks of the unionists. A number of charters have already been cancelled, and vessels are leaving port. Several small pits which previously were unable to compete with larger mines, are re-open-ing, but the output will be insignificant.
