(Per Press Association.) Wellington, April 24. The appointments of Capt. CampbellPreston to be Governor's Aide-de-Camp (vice Capt. Clayton resigned) and Capt. Guy Fielder as assistant* Aide-de-Camp, are gazetted. Mr Phillip Kippenberger is recognised provisionally as German Consul at Christchurch. Mr Robert Pitcaithly is recognised as Consular Agent for the United States at Christchurch. Mr Joseph Giles has resigned his position as Coroner. Mr J. B. Arneill, of Paparoa is gazetted Under-Secretary for Justice, vice Mr Haselden, retired. Mr H. B. Johnson is appointed a Judge of the Native Land Court Validation Court and Native Appellate Court. A despatch that Her Majesty has assented to certain Acts passed last session is gazetted. During March 1373 persons arrived in the Colony ; 90 came from the United Kingdom, 818 from New South Wales, 296 from Victoria, 1 from South Australia, 93 from Tasmania, 88 from Fiji. 23 from the Pacific Islands, 10 from foreign ports and 4 from other British possessions. The departures were 2357, 208 going to the United Kingdom, 5 to Queensland, 1515 to New South Wales, 410 to" Victoria 124 to Tasmania, 16 to Fiji, ten to the Pacific Islands, 55 to Foreign ports, 10 to other British possessions.
