♦— (Per Press Association.) Newcastle*, This Day. The majority of the Miners Lodges have already voted. So far, the members are 106 against and 6 for the acceptance of the proposals of the late conference. Other lodges yet to vote cennot materially effect the. results, and there is certain to be a large majority in favor of a strike. "< Melbourne, This Day. The half-yearly report of the Colonial Bank shows a net profit of £2664. The sum of £1000 has been added to the balance carried forward for the last halfyear, and makes a total of £3587, which goes forward. Adelaide, This Day. The revenue for the quarter ended March increased by £31,000, compared with tbe corresponding period last year. Expenditure has decreased by £48,000. Perth, This Day. A loud explosion, followed by severe earth tromors, has taken place at Karridale. The buildings shook perceptibly. To the end of March the revenue showed a surplus of £474,000. Sydney, This Day. Sir Henry Parkes continues to improve. .
