The Late Mr Gillon's Funeral.

- o (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The late Mr Gillon's funeral took place tbis morning. Tbe procession was of considerable length, despite the heavy rain that had fallen and the threatening weather. It was headed by 40 boys from the Terrace School (of which for many years he had been chairman), each carrying a wreath. A large number of these floral emblems were sent in from all parts of the colony. The funeral would have been a full masonic ceremony, but for tbeir laTje^. brother's, own request to the contrary. ' The Premier was among the iollowers, who included most of the principal men iu tbe city. Christ-church, April 20. The announcement of the death of Mr Gillon has been received here with deep sorrow, be having been particularly well known in Christchurch, especially amongst the Masonic fraternity.
